Supplemented by the accompanying research, this project chronicled the historical and philosophical transition from the living Classical tradition to the Neo-Classical. Inspired by the writings of Laugier, Rousseau, and Burke and the architectural forms of Jefferson and Ledoux, the design strove to embody the Enlightenment idea of the individual in the built form. The campus was a mixture of new construction and preservation of existing farm facilities.
